Day 41: February 11, 2009

Mattie at her 100th day of Kindergarten. What a hat!!!

Day 40: February 10, 2009

Mattie's Valentines. I sent them to school with her early as we were planning to be gone to the orphanage in Mexico. I didn't want to forget them on Friday. Well, she was feeling very loving this year and gave one to her bus driver, our neighbors, her best friends, teachers, and more. Therefore, she didn't have enough to give to her friends in her class. So we had to improvise and steal some of Austin's extras and luckily I had some valentines fruit snacks to attach. Such as sweet, sweet, girl.

Day 39: February 9, 2009

This picture does not do justice to the load of things we collected and received from our awesome friends to take to the Casa De Misericordia Orphanage in Piedras Negras, Mexico. Over 3000 loads worth of laundry detergent, 100 lb's of rice, 50 lbs of beans, tons of flour, sugar, masa, cleaning supplies and much, much more.

Austin took Grandma Janet and Mommy out on a date to Shogun's (Austin's favorite place to eat) and even paid with Grandpa's $100/bill. He was so excited.

Day 36: February 6, 2009

Alison and Lauren on the way to Galveston for the Girl Scout Sleepover at Moody Gardens Aquarium. It was a ton of fun to have the aquarium to ourselves all night long. Would have probably even had a decent nights sleep if it wasn't for the turtles scratching around in their pools all night long.

Parent's Night Out at the gymnastics place. This was our first time to do this and it was only because the kids begged us to go. They had a great time and got a lot of exercise. Jon and I went to movie and dinner. It was really nice and we would definitely do it again.
